Application case of Geotextile

Geotextile is a new kind of building material. The raw materials are synthetic fibers of polyester, polypropylene, acrylic and nylon. According to the manufacturing method, it can be divided into two types: textile geotextiles and non-woven geotextiles. Geotextile has many functions, such as anti-seepage, filter, drainage, isolation, reinforcement, protection, sealing and so on. Compared with the anti-seepage effect of conventional masonry and concrete materials, it has the advantages of low investment, simple construction technology, short construction period, good anti-seepage effect and high effective utilization coefficient of channels. Geotextiles can be divided into filament geotextiles and short silk geotextiles.


1. Isolation

Polyester staple fibre needle-punched geotextiles are used to isolate building materials with different physical properties (size, distribution, consistency and density, etc.) such as soil and sand, soil and concrete. Make two or more kinds of materials do not lose, do not mix, maintain the overall structure and function of the material, and strengthen the bearing capacity of geotextile products.


2. Filtration (filter)

When water flows from fine soil layer to coarse soil layer, it can make use of polyester staple fibre to needle geotextiles with good air permeability and water permeability to make water flow.

Through effective carrying of soil particles, fine sand and small stone, the stability of soil and water engineering can be maintained.


3. Drainage

Polyester staple fibre needle-punched geotextiles have good water conductivity. It can form drainage channels inside the soil and make the soil structure more.

Remaining liquid and gas are discharged.


4. reinforcement

Using polyester staple fibre needle-punched Geotextiles to enhance the tensile strength and deformation resistance of soil and to enhance the stability of building structures.

Good soil quality.


5. Protection

When water flows scour the soil, the concentrated stress can be effectively diffused, transmitted or decomposed to prevent the soil from being destroyed by external forces and protect the soil.


6. Anti-puncture

Combined with geomembrane, it becomes a composite waterproof and seepage-proof material, which plays a role of anti-puncture.

High tensile strength, good permeability, air permeability, high temperature resistance, freezing resistance, aging resistance, corrosion resistance, moth-free.


Polyester staple fiber needle-punched geotextile is a widely used geosynthetics. Widely used in railway subgrade reinforcement, highway pavement.

Maintenance, sports hall, dam protection, isolation of hydraulic structures, Suidong, coastal beach, reclamation, environmental protection and other projects.
